Director of Campus Technology and Media Support

Mount Holyoke College Library, Information, and Technology Services (LITS) Division seeks applications and nominations for an experienced, collaborative, creative, and service-oriented individual to lead and manage the new Campus Technology and Media Support (CTMS) Department. Working within an integrated information and technology services and resources organization, CTMS provides a coordinated approach to campus computer and audio-visual services, resources, and support for classrooms, labs, offices, and other areas, as well as for events and conferences. The Dept. also provides software support; media services and access; digital production; diagnostic services for student personal computers; design services for classroom and lab technologies; instrumentation support for the sciences; technology skill development opportunities; and inventory and tracking systems for equipment, software, and documentation. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of LITS and serving as a member of the LITS leadership team, the Director of CTMS fosters a team-based approach and develops effective collaborative partnerships within LITS, the College community, the Five Colleges, vendors, and others.  

 

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5-10 years of strong, progressively-responsible leadership, managerial, and supervisory experience directly related to duties and responsibilities of the position, preferably in an academic environment. Demonstrated current, innovative, and successful experience with a broad range of audio-visual and computer technologies, and software and technology support. Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of faculty, students, administrators, staff, and others. Enthusiastic public service orientation with sensitivity to the needs of users at all skill levels; the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience is essential.
