Media Studios Coordinator

The College is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Media Studios Coordinator. The Coordinator, working within the Instructional Technology group, supports faculty, staff, and students in their use of media technology, particularly in teaching and research, including assessing technologies appropriate to an undergraduate liberal arts education. This position designs, develops and supports the Williams’ Media Studios, including PC and Macintosh hardware, scanners, digitization equipment, video editing using Final Cut and Premiere, and high-end printers. Applicants should be service oriented with strong technical, communication, and writing skills.

 

Candidates should posses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in media technologies, preferably with instructional technology or faculty support. Experience in troubleshooting hardware, MacOS X and Windows XP operating systems, and specialized peripherals is required, as well as knowledge of multimedia production and editing systems and techniques using applications such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Cleaner, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and Flash.  Knowledge of web standards and techniques for the delivery of digital video and other media is a plus.
