Job DescriptionTrinity College has an opportunity for a highly motivated Network Administrator to support the Colleges network, telecommunications and cable infrastructure. The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, maintenance and security of the Trinity College data network. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic with keen problem solving and customer service skills. As a member of the Network and Systems group, this individual is involved in the operation of a mission critical network infrastructure, including all wired network switches, core routers, service provider uplinks, wireless platform, load balancers, firewalls, VPN and related central network services including DNS/DHCP. This position will provide installation, configuration and operational support for these systems as well as assist with capacity planning, change control, and monitoring functions. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate initiative, be capable of exploring new technologies, work independently and have strong collaboration skills. They must also be customer focused with a results oriented attitude, and must have willingness to learn and grow in this position. The position requires teamwork, the ability to multi-task and balance work load between a few simultaneous projects.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired with a minimum of three years of experience. Working knowledge of CISCO routers and switches; Fortinet Firewall; Aruba Wireless controllers and access points; BlueCoat traffic shaper; Linux and SNMP is required.The applications review process will begin immediately; search will continue until the position is filled.
